Simple Sympathy Cards

Good morning crafters, I hope that everyone had a great Monday.  I feared last night that I was sick…again….so I tucked myself into bed very early and forgot to post these simple sympathy cards that I created last week.

Here is a peek at what I created:

sympathy 3

I created these with scraps and die cut pieces that I had on hand.  Even the bows were made and in a jar of scraps of ribbon.  The only thing I had to do was add the sentiment and the bling in the corners.  It feels good not to waste what I have and I like how they turned out.

Welcome Baby Girl

Good morning crafters, I hope everyone had a fabulous Saturday.  I am just popping by to say hello and post a card that I created before I get down to the domestic duties of the day.  I created a card a few weeks back for one of hubby’s co-worker who’s wife had a baby.  That had a little girl.  I LOVE doing baby girl cards, pink and fun!!!

Here is a peek at what I created:

thomasI created this 5×5 card using scraps from my bin.  I went die cutting crazy for this card! The words, clothesline, and white doily, and safety pin are all dies from various companies.  I finished off the card with a fun bow made with pink tulle and some pink bling from my stash.  This  was a fun card to create!!!

My Thoughts are With You!

Good morning crafters, I hope that everyone has a great weekend and gets crafty at some time. I just wanted to pop on here and post a card that I made a few weeks ago before I got sick.

Here is a peek at what I created:

sympathy 7I created this card for one of my husband’s co-workers that lost her Mother recently.  I used a Flourishes stamp called Hydrangea and colored the image with my Bic Markers.  I fussy cut the image out and flat taped it to the card front.  I heat embossed the Hello Doily from SU.  I added some punched out pieces and paper photo corners and some butterflies to add some interest to the card.  I finished off the card with a stamped sentiment from Stampendous and a double bow crated with one of my favorite iridescent ribbon.

Kim at The Cutting Garden stocks a lovely supply of flourish stamps, ribbons and punches.  I also picked up the set of sentiments from Kim as well.

I’m Back

Good evening crafters, I just wanted to pop on here and post a card.  I am FINALLY better.  That flu or whatever the heck it was, was dreadful.  I wish it on no one.  It took me over two weeks to get on my feet and this week I am still a little slow but am getting back to myself.  I have a few projects in the hopper so to speak from before I got sick but I wanted to show you Jim’s birthday card.  My darling husband’s birthday is today and I am still a little slow so I didn’t get his card finished until this afternoon.

Here is a peek at what I created:

jim's card

jim's card 2Jim is a fisherman, it is his favorite spring and summer pastime  So any fishing boy stamps that I come across I pick up.  This is an old one from The Greeting Farm that I have had probably two years and had never stamped until today! The last several months I have been purging and rediscovering what I have had.  A lot of my stash I have out grown or my tastes have changed but the fishing stamps are here to stay.  I colored him with my colored pencils and Gamsol and used scraps to mat him and to create the card base. I have been on the ‘use it or lose it’ drive these days.  I added some burlap to the card front and finished off the card with a bright green button and some green bakers twine!

Ps The brunette is hubby’s card the the blond is a second that I created.

I’ve Been Sick…Still Am

Good evening crafters, I hope that everyone is having a great weekend.  I have been really sick, flu and sinus infection, something that I have never had and NEVER want again….I am still not on my feet but it hit me today (the first day I have felt human in over a week) and it hit me that I didn’t get all of my Pinterest Inspired Easter cards posted before I was hit by the truck. So, here they are:

Clean Up Your Scraps

Good evening crafters, I hope that everyone is having a great long weekend so far.  Jim and I decided to let the cats sleep in our room last night as neither of us had to get up early today, WRONG decision on our part.  Between nightmares and cat fights, I didn’t get more then 4 hours total all night so today is s-l-o-w going.  So between domestic chore like things, I was tidying my craft room.  I looked again at my scarp bin that I only cleaned out last month and it was building again.  Yes, I did make a lot of Easter cards the past several weeks but the scraps keep building up again.  This am when I was going through my Pins on Pinterest I came upon a pin that I made last week. Here is the link to the Pin that gave me today’s card making inspiration.  These are Clean and Simple cards, not normally my style but I liked the results.

Here is a peek at what I created:

casThanks for peeking in and Happy Easter!!!
