Good Sunday morning crafters, I am hoping that everyone had a great day yesterday and enjoyed the weather. It was beautiful here in Nova Scotia but today is another story. It is dark, gray, and rainy. It is a perfect day for crafting but of course I got it into my head that I want to move my entire craft room down stairs!!! It is a HUGE undertaking and it could have been achievable IF I thought about it on Wednesday, when Jim had four days off, not today when he is heading back to work tomorrow, bright and early!!! We’ll see what happens with that…lol…
So, on to my post for today. I was at my monthly crafty group last night and we had a specific project in mind to create but of course, Lisa and I didn’t do it….we made cards instead. Here are the ones that I created:
I based these cards around this Kraftin Kimmie stamp that my friend, Vicki lent me. the name of the stamp is ‘Natsuko’. The sentiment is ‘Never Forget Kindness’. I colored her with my colored pencils and Gamsol. I created this card using around a new paper line that The Cutting Garden is carrying by Bo Bunny, called, ‘Serenity’. It is an Asian inspired paper line and I LOVE the colors. I fussy cut her dress and the lantern that she is holding. I used two different Punch Around the Page sets from Martha Stewart and an edge punch from Recollections. I used three of the Die-Namic rolled flower dies that I picked up at The Garden. One is a Prima Donna Rose, Mini Rolled Rose, and a Daisy rolled flower die. I inked all the flowers with Tea Dye Distress ink and added some matching bling to the corners of the image and into the center of the daisy. I also added a tiny gold pearl to the tassel of the lantern that Natsuko is holding.
I hope everyone is having a crafty day. Thanks for peeking in!
