So Thankful….

Good morning all and happy Sunday! Well despite losing a week somewhere, Christmas is next week.  The holidays can be an emotional and stressful time of the year, to say the least.  As I finish wrapping some gifts today (ok, I should say as I START wrapping some, I thought that I would take a few minutes to sit down and write a quick blog post.  This year has not been the easiest for me, it was a year of change and reflection.  I have so many things to be thankful for…the list is so long, it is humbling to think about all that I have in my world that makes my life complete.

My husband, Jim.  For his humour and support.  For going along with my schemes and helping me every step of the way.  For the man who voluntarily gets pictures like this taken:

Thanks honey, I love you xoxo

To all of my friends. The ones who laugh and cry with me.  That show unwavering support to me. I have been trying to type this up and I just can’t form what I am trying to say.  I have made big changes to my world that past year and even if you didn’t agree with what I was doing, you stood by me with the kick in the butt or a shoulder to give me, I want to say thank you!!!

To my Weight Watchers community.  To Sandra, who picked my sorry butt every Thursday am to make sure I attended, I truly love you.  To Melissa, for being the motivation I needed to work on me. To Kelly, my lucky star, for greeting me every week with a smile.  I am so grateful that you were back from vacation to be with me when I reached Life time.  To the Thursday am group.  You all inspired and continue to do so.  I am so happy that I started with and remain with these crazy peeps.  They have watched me and supported me through the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (and there were lots of Ugly days).

To my family both near and far….thank you for everything xoxo

What I am the most grateful for was the opportunity to start my Chemo treatment for my MS two years ago.  it has given me parts of my life back that I was sure was gone forever.  I know my disease is still there, its hibernating like a bear.  Every day that it stays asleep makes me the luckiest woman in the world.  Sounds silly that what I am most grateful for is as simple as being able to get out of bed and lift my legs and walk normally.  For someone that has experienced NOT being able to do those things, This is like winning the lottery.

Finally, to the people who have supported my creative side the past year, Thank you.  I love creating cards and layouts, It is soothing relaxing and enjoyable.

So, I am still not sure if I got the point out that my mind wanted and the words just wouldn’t come.  I guess in this society of ‘consumption and having stuff’, the stuff I am eternally grateful for, are not things.

Happy Holidays to you all.  What are you grateful for????
